Cliniminds Organised Faculty Development Program in Association with Amity Institute of Pharmacy-Amity University

















Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University recently organised 5 days faculty development program for the professors from several pharmacy colleges from across the country. Program was conducted in association with Cliniminds.  The participating audience included faculties from various pharmacy institutes, research scholars and head of departments.

Mr Kamal Shahani, Managing Director & Founder of Cliniminds was invited to be the key panellist and speaker. Mr. Shahani insights on global clinical trials and pharmacovigilance business, regulations, opportunities, future trends and challenges. He also discussed the new technology trends in clinical trials and pharmacovigilance. He also presented the details on current state of industry in India and the opportunities for Indian companies.

Mr. Shahani also provided his insights on career path for pharmacy graduates and post graduates, in clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, data management and analytics domain.
As a part of program, Cliniminds conducted one day workshop on Clinical research. Workshop was conducted by Dr. Veepra of Cliniminds. In her talk she covered important aspects of conduct and management of clinical trials, ICH GCP principles and demonstration of Clinsoft - a software used Clinical trials.
Cliniminds also conducted one day workshop on Pharmacovigilance. Workshop was conducted by 
Mr. Joseph Mathew from Cliniminds, presented his lecture on Global scenario of drug safety, which touched upon important aspects of ADR reporting, regulatory compliance, medical evaluation of safety reports with demonstration of Argus safety. His talk discussed methodology used in writing case narratives and on the use of Artificial Intelligence in pharmacovigilance.

With Academia, Industry and the Regulators being shareholders in pharmacovigilance, it won’t be too far to see our country evolving from an emerging as a translational pharmacovigilance nation, where adverse effects are not just simply recorded and stored in a database, but they are also analysed and the results are translated in framing risk evaluating and mitigation strategies.
